On October 15, 2024, Palazzo Coppini celebrates the centenary of Rolando Panerai, one of the greatest Italian baritones, with a special event dedicated to his career. The conference, organized under the artistic direction of Stanislaw Daniel Kotlinski – Panerai’s student and close friend – is curated by the –  Fondazione Romualdo Del Bianco – Life Beyond Tourism in collaboration with the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Poland in Florence and Tuscany. This event is part of the many cultural initiatives in Florence promoted by Palazzo Coppini, a Golden Venue that continues to honor culture and music.

The event features internationally renowned experts and musicians, including Alberto Paloscia, il Luciano Alberti e il Cesare Orselli, who shared their insights on the legendary Florentine baritone’s career and unique talent. Through anecdotes and reflections, the speakers highlighted the qualities that made Panerai a key figure in the opera world, from his extraordinary voice to his unforgettable stage presence.

With over fifty years of career and performances in the most prestigious theaters, such as La Scala in Milan, the Royal Opera House in London, and the Metropolitan Opera in New York, Panerai left an indelible mark on the world of opera. A hundred years after his birth, his artistic legacy continues to inspire new generations of enthusiasts, keeping his memory alive through the Del Bianco Foundation and its cultural initiatives.
